Terms of Use
Article 1 (Purpose, etc.)
① The terms of service of Pora Electric Machinery Co., Ltd. (Hereinafter referred to as "these terms”) aim to prescribe the rights, duties and responsibilities of users and the "Company" when the "users" use Internet-related services (hereinafter referred to as "services") provided by Pora Electric Machinery Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company")
Article 2 (Definition of Users)
  • ① The "company website" refers to a virtual business place set by the company to trade goods or services using information and communication facilities in order for the company to provide and guide goods or services (product A/S and technical support, etc.) to users. It is also used to mean the business operator who operates the website.
  • ② "User" refers to a non-member who accesses the company website and receives the services provided by the company website in accordance with these terms and conditions.
  • ③ "Non-member" refers to a person who uses the services provided on the "website" without signing up as a member.
Article 3 (Specification and Revision of the Terms and Conditions)
① These terms and conditions become effective by posting them on the service screen or by disclosing them to users.
② In case of unavoidable conditions or circumstances, the "website" may change these Terms and Conditions within the scope of not violating the relevant laws, and the changed Terms and Conditions shall take effect through the public announcement in the same manner as in Paragraph 1 of this Article.
③ If these Terms and Conditions are changed, the date of application and the reason for revision shall be specified and announced on the service screen together with the current Terms and Conditions from 7 days before the effective date to the day before the effective date.
④ Matters not specified in these terms and conditions and interpretation of these terms and conditions shall be in accordance with the e-commerce consumer protection guidelines and related laws established by the government or commercial practices.
Article 4 (Membership)
This service is a non-member service that receives the services provided by the company website.
Article 5 (Use of Services)
① "Website" provides the following services:
  • 1. Providing information on products or services
  • 2. Other services specified by "website"
② For certain services provided such as contacting PORA, the use is restricted according to the procedure for personal information consent.
③ In the event that the mutual service contents with the user provided by the "website" are changed due to reasons such as company circumstances or changes in technical specifications, the "website" does not compensate for the damages to the user. However, this is not the case if there is intentional or gross negligence on the "website".
In the case of notification to a large number of unspecified members, posting on the service screen of the "website" for more than one week can replace individual notification.
④ In principle, the use of services shall be allowed for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, unless there is a special reason for the company's circumstances or technology.
Article 6 (Service Interruption)
① In the event of maintenance, inspection, replacement or breakdown of information and communication facilities such as computers, disruption of communication, congestion of service use, or other force majeure reasons, "website" may temporarily suspend the provision of services
② In case of service interruption pursuant to Paragraph 1 of this Article, the " website" shall notify users in the manner specified in Article 5.
③ "Website" does not compensate for damages to users or third parties due to the temporary suspension of the service for the reasons specified in Paragraph 1. However, this is not the case if there is intentional or serious negligence on the "website".
Article 7 (Personal Information Protection)
① "Website" collects the minimal information required for the implementation when collecting user information. The following items are required and others are optional.
  • 1. Name and company name
  • 2. Mobile phone number
  • 3. Email
  • 4. Address
  • 5. Date of product purchase, place of purchase, model name, product symptoms
② When collecting personal information that allows the user's personal identification, the "website" shall obtain the user's consent.
③ The provided personal information may not be used for other purposes or provided to a third party without the consent of the user, and all the responsibilities lie with the company. However, exceptions are made in the following cases:
  • 1. In case of providing the minimum user information (name, address, phone number) required to provide the services for customer service
  • 2. When necessary for statistical writing, academic research, or market research, and when provided in a form in which a specific individual cannot be identified
④ If the "website" shall obtain the consent of the user pursuant to paragraphs 2 and 3, matters stipulated in Article 22 (2) of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communication Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc. including identity of the person in charge of personal information management (affiliation, name and phone number), the purpose of collecting and using information, and matters related to provision of information to a third party (recipient, purpose of provision, and contents of the information to be provided) shall be specified or notified in advance, and the user may withdraw this consent at any time.
⑤ Users may request to view and correct errors in their personal information possessed by the "website" at any time, and the "website" is obligated to take necessary measures without delay. When a user requests correction of an error, the "website" shall not use the personal information until the error is corrected.
⑥ The "website" minimizes the number of administrators to protect personal information.
⑦ When the purpose of collecting or receiving personal information is achieved, the "website" or a third party who has received personal information from it shall destroy the personal information without delay.
Article 8 (Purpose of Collecting and Using Personal Information)
Pora Electric Machinery Co., Ltd. may use the personal information provided by the "user" through e-mail or telephone to provide marketing and a variety of information.
Customer name, e-mail, and phone number: Used for identification when applying for service and service use procedures
  • ① E-mail, mobile phone number: E-mail or correspondence, telemarketing to secure communication channels such as delivery of notices, confirmation of personal opinion, and complaint handling and provide information on new services/new products, event information, etc. (including various guides and information delivery services)
  • ② Other optional items: Data to provide personalized service
Article 9 (Obligations of Users)
① Users shall not do the following:
  • 1. Registration of false information when applying or changing
  • 2. Change in information posted on "website"
  • 3. Transmission or posting of information (computer programs, etc.) other than it specified by the "website"
  • 4. Infringement of intellectual property rights such as copyright of "website" and other third parties
  • 5. Act of defaming the reputation of the "website" or third parties or interfering with business
  • 6. Disclosing or posting obscene or violent messages, images, audio, and other information contrary to public order and morals on the "website"
Article 10 (Reversion of Copyright and Restrictions on Use)
① Copyright and other intellectual property rights for works created by the "website" belong to the "website".
② The user shall not use the information obtained by using the "website" for commercial purposes or make it available to a third party by copying, transmitting, publishing, distributing, broadcasting, or other methods without prior consent of the "website".
Article 11 (Dispute Settlement)
① The “website” installs and operates a damage compensation processing organization to reflect the legitimate opinions or complaints raised by users and to compensate for the damage.
② The "website" handles complaints and opinions submitted by users on the preferential basis. However, if prompt processing is difficult, the user will be notified of the reason and processing schedule.
③ Disputes arising between the "website" and users may be subject to mediation by the Electronic Transaction Dispute Mediation Committee established in accordance with Article 28 of the Framework Act on Electronic Transactions and Article 15 of its enforcement decree.
Article 25 (Jurisdiction and Governing Law)
① Litigation regarding e-transaction disputes arising between the "website" and users is under the jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the location where the head office is located.
② Korean law applies to e-commerce lawsuits filed between the "website" and users. (supplementary provision)
  • 1. These terms and conditions will be effective from November 15, 2015.
③ Disputes arising between the "website" and users may be subject to mediation by the Electronic Transaction Dispute Mediation Committee established in accordance with Article 28 of the Framework Act on Electronic Transactions and Article 15 of its enforcement decree.
